THE BASICS SET
To be a guest and to study and practice chanoyu, the Japanese Way of Tea, you need a basic set of necessities: a small FAN; a FUKUSA (special silk cloth, traditionally, women use red or orange and men use purple); a packet of KAISHI (30 sheets of Japanese paper); and a metal SWEET PICK and HOLDER to use when enjoying tea sweets; and a FUKUSA HOLDER for carrying these items.
